OP konzept waterproofing solutions provide long-lasting protection against water seepage when applied correctly on a properly prepared surface. However, for active structural cracks or plumbing leaks, the root cause must be addressed first before waterproofing. Surface-applied waterproofing works best as a preventive treatment or for non-structural moisture issues. Our products come with multi-year performance when applied as per guidelines.

For optimal performance, we recommend applying 2 coats of OP konzept waterproofing solution. Apply the first coat and allow it to cure for 24 hours, then apply the second coat in a perpendicular direction for uniform coverage. For high-risk areas like terrace slabs and water-retaining surfaces, a third coat may be applied for extra protection. After full cure (7 days), apply primer followed by the topcoat emulsion.

Surface preparation is critical for waterproofing effectiveness: 1) Clean the surface — remove dust, oil, loose paint and algae. 2) Repair cracks — fill all visible cracks with polymer-modified mortar and allow to cure. 3) Ensure the surface is damp but not wet before application. 4) For old walls with multiple paint layers, consider grinding the surface for better penetration. 5) Never apply on wet, standing water surfaces.

Yes! Cool Care Ultra is specifically designed for terraces and rooftops. It combines powerful waterproofing with heat-reflective properties — reflecting a significant portion of solar radiation instead of absorbing it. This can reduce indoor temperature by 2–5°C in summer months, directly lowering cooling costs. It's especially beneficial for top-floor residents in Jaipur and other high-heat regions of Rajasthan.

Surface dry time is approximately 1–2 hours per coat at 30°C. Hard dry before applying the second coat takes 24 hours. Full cure (when the waterproofing achieves its maximum strength) takes 7 days. During the curing period, protect the surface from rain and physical damage. Do not apply emulsion paint over waterproofing until full cure is complete.

Our waterproofing solutions cover approximately 50–80 sq.ft per litre per coat depending on surface texture and porosity. For rough or highly porous surfaces, coverage will be lower. Always apply the recommended number of coats (2 coats minimum) rather than reducing coat count to save material — this compromises waterproofing integrity. For a 500 sq.ft terrace, expect to use 12–20 litres for 2 coats.
